Hello and welcome to the Darling Art blog!

Did you hear?  Darling Art relocated from Chapel Hill, North Carolina to Columbus, Ohio this past summer.  I am currently booked for the remainder of 2011 and will begin scheduling photo sessions for 2012 after the new year.

If you'd like information regarding a Darling Art photo session in Utah, Washington D.C., Boston, Chapel Hill or Columbus, please email rebecca(at)darling-art(dot)com.  As always, you can refer to the blog for the latest regarding my travel/shooting schedule.

It’s Been A While

Hi friends,

I hope 2012 is treating you well so far.  We have enjoyed a mild winter and are completely giddy over signs of spring that seem to be popping up all over Columbus.  Annnnyway, I thought I would pop in today and share this darling little baby boy …

Enjoy!

Rebecca

p.s. lots more photo blogging action going on here:)

Sweet Adelaide

There is nothing in the world as calming, peaceful and pure as a newborn baby.  Meet sweet Adelaide … she’s as perfect as they come.  Sigh.

Happy weekend and love to all,

Rebecca

Cruising Right Along

From a session at sunset in Chapel Hill earlier this summer … this little darling had the time of her life cruising around the field with her little push cart.  I can’t wait to photograph her again later this fall – she’s not only walking now, but running!  Oh my, how am I ever going to keep up?

Hello from Columbus!

Hello friends,

What an amazing/crazy/busy/wonderful summer we’ve had!  I only had time for a few photo sessions while we were in Utah in July, and it’s been such a treat spending some quiet hours working on these images this week.  Aren’t these two siblings adorable?

We are headed up to Maine next week to finish out the summer … I’ll return all emails/calls upon my return.

Goodbye Chapel Hill

Hi all,

This is moving week for my family.  As I type, movers are loading the last of our belongings into a moving truck … we have one more night in Chapel Hill, and then we will head up to Columbus as well.  And while my house is nearly empty, my heart is very full.  I am so grateful for our time in Chapel Hill and for the wonderful friends and clients who have supported my work over the years.  Thank you so so much.

I do have several sessions scheduled over the coming months but am going to close my schedule to new sessions for the remainder of 2011.  I’m going to do my best to keep my schedule open while we settle in to a new home and a new community.  Thank you for being patient with me as we make this transition.

Posting will be light over the coming weeks as we work to get settled.  In the mean time, you can follow our adventures over at my personal blog Overexposed.

Baby Bliss

It’s such a pleasure working with new Moms and their sweet newborn babies.  Baby bliss is infectious and I can’t help but oooh and awww over these tiny, precious, perfect little subjects I get to photograph.  Today, I am ooohing and awwwing over this mommy and baby.  Aren’t they both gorgeous?

Framed – Blog Carousel

Hello friends!  It’s time once again to post my entry in the fun Blog Carousel I’m participating with with a group of talented photographers.  Last month the images were all themed around the word Monochrome and this month the theme is “Framed”.  Below is my entry for June:

Next, visit the website of Danna Bowes, the talent behind Calgary baby and child photographer, Bowes Photography.  You can follow the entire circle of entries by clicking on the links from blog to blog.  A circle of eye candy, for sure!
