Oh Boy

This wonderful, darling, sleepy, snuggly and curious brand new baby boy is being welcomed into a very kind and loving home.  I love witnessing the awe and love and commitment as new parents take a fragile little being into their hands and begin a life together as a family.  sigh.  The hardest part of my job is sometimes leaving the magic of those moments behind to go back to my own routine.  I never leave unaffected and untouched.  Thank you to the 100s of families who share this sacred part of their lives with me.

repeat after me: “I will not get baby fever, I will NOT get baby fever…I will not…”

Jonathan Byrd - you both were perfectly professional. we have been sharing this sneak peek with every friend and family member we can think of. what a shot! There is a good friend of ours who wants to conceive, but doctors told her she was menopausal. She attended Rowan's bris this morning and handed him, with her husband, from Rowan's mother to the sandek. She is on the phone with Mary now. She just got her period.
