Then and Now: Buster and Petey
When I mentioned I saw a lot of repeat clients this fall, I wasn’t kidding! I first photographed “Buster” when he was just 6 months old and have been photographing him since as both he and as his family grew. It’s so much fun watching these kids grow up …
Here are a few images from over the years, starting with the birth of little brother Petey:

And then 6 months later …

And then most recently … this fall:

This last one is an out take from the end of the session and it cracks me up so I thought I’d share. I love how little Petey is totally wiped out while Buster is still going strong.

Then and Now: Baby Claire
Remember this smiley girl from last May?

Well, I had the pleasure of photographing her again this Fall and she is just as pleasant and sweet as ever!

Note to parents (and to self): they grow up much too fast! Make sure you capture it.

Rebecca
Then and Now: My Two Favorite Girls
I recently had my fourth session with these two darlings and thought I’d share some of my favorite images in this edition of “Then and Now”.
From our first session, four years ago:

And now:

Can you believe how much they’ve grown up!?! What a pleasure it’s been to photograph these girls over the years …
Speaking of photographing kids over the years, it’s a gorgeous fall day in Chapel Hill and my boys have the day off of school. Think I can pass up this opportunity for a session with my own darlings monkeys? Nope. Think they’ll cooperate? Of course not. Wish me luck - I’ll need it!
xoxo,
Rebecca
Stella
Isn’t she yummy?

*A quick reminder to my clients in Chapel Hill and beyond … the holiday ordering deadline of November 15th is fast approaching. Don’t forget to place your holiday gift and card orders before it’s too late.

The Final Few
Two posts in one day!?! I think I’ve set a new {Hello Darling} record, lol.
Just a few more from the Glee mini’s now that all the sessions are edited and ready to send out. Yay!
Also, a bunch of folks have asked if we’ll be doing another round of mini sessions this year. Unfortunately this is it until the Spring. Melissa Russell and I plan on teaming up for another day of mini sessions at Glee Kids in the Spring - most likely in April. Be sure to email (rebecca@darling-art.com) if you’re interested in being on the email list for those April sessions and we’ll be in touch.
Without further ado … a few more Chapel Hill darlings:

Mini Session Mania - Part II
It’s That Time of Year
Well, it’s that time of year when I’m so intent on getting galleries out to my clients and orders in to the lab that everything else falls by the way side - including the {Hello Darling} blog. The good news is that I’m almost caught up. The bad news … I have so much to share that I don’t know where to start! So, I’ll start with some images I’ve been working on and are fresh in my mind. These are from the Glee Kids Mini Sessions held here in Chapel Hill a few weeks back. Enjoy!

Off for a Little R&R
Just a quick note to say that I’m leaving my computer and camera behind to enjoy a little rest and relaxation with my family this weekend. I’ll return any phone calls and email on Monday, October 20th. Boston galleries should all go out sometime today, and my Glee Kids mini session galleries will go out next week after I return home.
No post is complete without images and I’m excited to share this bunch. I can not imagine more photogenic children or a more photogenic home. I love the architectural details and textures in this gorgeous Boston home and would die and go to heaven to have a place just like this as a studio. And these four kids … well, see for yourself. They’re all just stunning.

Then and Now
I’ve had the wonderful privilege of being booked for a second, third or fourth time by many former clients. Words can not express how wonderful it is to catch up with each of these families and capture their sweet darlings as they grow up. I’ll be showing many “Then and Now” images in the coming weeks as I think it’s both fun and remarkable to see how these kids change from year to year.
I first captured this little guy when he was about 4 months old. Here he is then:

Now I believe he’s around 18 months old and is not only all grown up, but is a big brother as well! I don’t know about you, but I see a glimpse of his former baby-self in there …
